Administration
If you are a UE-resident, you only need your identity card to travel to Tenerife. If you are not a UE-resident, you will need a valid passport and a Schengen visa which is available for the long of your journey. It can be obtained at the Spain Embassy in your country.
Health
There is no specific precaution to take for Tenerife, Spain or Europe. Always ensure you have your health book in case of problem. In this case it is easier for the local emergencies and doctors to take decisions. You can drink public water and do not have to pay attention to something special.
Animals
If you are a UE-resident, you can bring your dog or cat with no problem. Your animal must have a valid passport and health book. These can be obtained at your pet's doctor at least 40 days before the departure. If you are not a UE-resident, you may be asked to wait your animal for 40 days at the boundary to ensure he is healthy. It is so not recommended for small travels or even common holidays.
Security
Security can be upgraded at any time because of terrorist menaces. In this case, ensure you are cooperative and think that it is for your own security. |
